ผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นจากเสียงดัง
ในโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม
โรงงานหรือสถานประกอบกิจการที่มีปัญหาด้านเสียงเกินค่ามาตรฐาน อาจสร้างผลกระทบทั้งด้านอาชีวอนามัยและความปลอดภัยในการทำงานต่อพนักงานในโรงงานเอง หรืออาจก่อให้เกิดมลพิษทางเสียงต่อชุมชนและสภาพแวดล้อมที่อยู่ด้านนอกโรงงาน หากเจ้าของแหล่งกำเนิดเสียงหรือผู้เกี่ยวข้องปล่อยปละละเลย ไม่จัดทำโครงการควบคุมเสียงหรือแก้ไขปัญหาดังกล่าวไม่สำเร็จ จะทำให้มีผลกระทบตามมา เช่น
• เป็นผู้กระทำผิดกฎหมายด้านเสียง มีทั้งโทษปรับและจำคุก
• ลูกจ้างอาจเกิดภาวะสูญเสียการได้ยินแบบชั่วคราวหรือแบบถาวร
• ประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของพนักงานลดลงจากเสียงเกินค่ามาตรฐาน
• ถูกร้องเรียนจากชุมชนหรือผู้ได้รับผลกระทบทางเสียงที่อยู่นอกโรงงาน
• โรงงานหรือสถานประกอบกิจการอาจถูกสั่งปิดปรับปรุง จนกว่าจะแก้ไขแล้วเสร็จ
